Picture this

You're a few years into oncology pharmacy. You know your way around. You've handled complex cases, you've earned the trust of your team — and yet, there are still moments when a question comes up, a new regimen hits your desk, or a novel therapy gets approved overnight, and you feel like you're scrambling.

You open five browser tabs. You dig through NCCN guidelines. You text a colleague who's just as busy as you are. And after 45 minutes you've stitched together an answer — but you're still not completely confident.

Or maybe it's less about the clinical questions and more about the isolation.

Oncology is a specialty where the depth of knowledge required is massive. The people around you at work may not fully get it. And going it alone — trying to stay current on your own, in the margins of an already packed schedule — is exhausting.

Sound familiar?

And here's the thing

You're not falling behind because you're not smart enough or not working hard enough.

Oncology is the fastest-moving specialty in pharmacy. New targeted agents, immunotherapies, approvals, guideline updates, label changes — it doesn't stop. And it's not designed to be navigated alone.

The pharmacists who stay sharp and grow their careers aren't necessarily the ones who completed residency training. They're the ones who have the right community around them. They have access to experts. They have a space where they can dig into complex cases, ask hard questions, and keep building their clinical judgment — consistently, not just when a crisis forces it.

That's what you're missing. And that's exactly what ELO Support provides.

What nobody tells you about staying current in oncology

Years in doesn't mean the learning is over. If anything, the bar gets higher. You're expected to know more, handle more complexity, and be the go-to person — all while the field keeps shifting underneath you.

And yet most experienced oncology pharmacists are still trying to piece together their continuing education the same way they did when they started — scattered PDFs, random conferences, occasional journal club — with no real structure, no real community, and no consistent access to true experts.

Here's what you actually need to keep growing:

  1. A community of peers who get it — not just a chat group, but a space with thoughtful channels, real discussions, and experts you can ask anything without judgment.
  2. Regular access to specialists — oncology has too many subfields for any one pharmacist to master. Rotating expert access expands what you know and who you can learn from.
  3. Live learning experiences that build clinical judgment — not passive webinars. Real cases, real discussion, real practice for the situations you actually face.

What Members Are Saying

Here's what pharmacists inside the ELO community have experienced.

I wanted to let you know that just by attending the live session last week I've learned so much and have been able to contribute to discussions with my team about lung cancer and melanoma!! It's amazing how much I learn from these interactive sessions — the most effective way for me to learn!

— L. Michelle Cakley, Oncology Pharmacist

All the encouragement and positivity from the group here has been invaluable to me, especially in these early pages of my onco journey 🥺 like Kelley said, community can make a huge difference in lifting each other up 💌 😍 crazy how we are scattered across the US and can make such meaningful and nurturing connections ⚡

— Serinna Singh, Oncology Pharmacist

Kelley's program helps you better serve your patients. This is a community that invites questions and sharing of practice standards. Kelley's program and community prepares pharmacists to obtain BCOP certification. The case walk-through calls, question bank, conversations, and engagement are top notch. I highly recommend this program.

— Angie Maynard, Oncology Pharmacist

Thank you for putting together such a wonderful workshop! I was pulling up NCCN guidelines, lexi, and the PI as you were talking through the cases. It's nice to hear other people's processes...I was definitely encouraged that I do a lot of the same things and am self trained at this point in regards to oral chemo.

— Kayla Fry, Oncology Pharmacist

I'm Kelley

Kelley, PharmD

I'm a residency-trained, board-certified oncology pharmacist with over 13 years of experience in this field. I've worked in academic medical centers and community hospitals, taught and precepted across pharmacy, medicine, and nursing programs, and served as both a PGY2 oncology program director and PGY1 program coordinator. I've presented at national and regional conferences and spent time in the healthcare technology industry.

But if I'm honest about why I do this work — it started with my grandmother, Barbara. She was diagnosed with acute leukemia during my final year of pharmacy school, and she didn't survive to see me graduate. Her diagnosis set me on a 13+ year journey in oncology that has shaped everything I do.

My mission is to support pharmacists who want to make a difference in the lives of patients with cancer.

Early in my career, I had to present weekly on unfamiliar oncology topics — and what I discovered was that the resources were scattered everywhere, the experts were hard to access, and no one had pulled it all together into something usable. I spent years building what I wish had existed when I was starting out.

ELO Support is the community and live learning experience I wish I'd had access to throughout my career. I built it so that no oncology pharmacist has to keep navigating this specialty in isolation.
